New this year, Gruene Ice Rink will be open daily from November 23 to January 5, 2025. 

Measuring 100 feet by 40 feet, the rink offers access including skate rentals starting at $18. 

Hot cocoa, cookies, and Gruene merchandise will be available for purchase.

  • Where is Gruene Ice Rink? Gruene Ice Rink is located just behind The Pomegranate, near H.D. Gruene Jr.’s Private Office. Free parking is available throughout Gruene Historic District. 
  • What size skates are available to rent? Rental skates range from small child sizes up to men’s 15.
  • Do I need a reservation to enter the Gruene Ice Rink Village? No reservation is needed to hang out, shop, and dine around the rink. 
  • Does Gruene Ice Rink have assistance devices? We have dolphin skate aids that kids and adults can push around and sit on top of while another person pushes them around.
  • What happens if it rains? In the event of inclement weather, guests may reschedule their ticket for another time.
