Live Tunes at Gruene Hall

Gruene Hall features live music everyday year 'round. Most shows are free Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturday-Sunday afternoon. Friday and Saturday evenings are generally ticketed or cover shows. For band schedule and availability, visit or call (830) 606-1601.


Friday Afternoons

KNBT Friday Afternoon Club

A Gruene Hall tradition, now in its 21st year, where hipsters, oldsters, suits, locals and drifters mix it up to start their weekend rite (pun intended!) This quintessential Friday happy hour celebrates the warmer weather with great beer prices, prize giveaways and the best in Texas tunes broadcast live by KNBT 92.1 FM Radio New Braunfels.

There’s even a very special guest interview each week! Some that have stopped by for a chat have included Ray Benson, Steve Earle, Delbert McClinton, Radney Foster, Hayes Carll and Ray Wylie Hubbard. Good times!

Gospel Brunch with a Texas Twist

Second Sundays: September 8th | October 13th | November 10th

In the tradition of a New Orleans-style gospel brunch, we are serving up awe-inspiring gospel music coupled with a mouth-watering buffet catered by Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar. Gruene 10K

September 14th
Registration begins at 7am
Race starts at 8am

Enjoy a leisurely or competitive run through Gruene Historic District. Post-race music at Gruene Hall with food and beer provided to all participants. Sponsored by New Braunfels Running Club and benefiting a local New Braunfels charity. For more information, visit or call (830) 708-2991.

Come and Taste It

Third Thursdays: September 19th | October 17th | November 21st

Sample Texas’ best wines and craft brews at The Grapevine in Gruene Historic District. On the third Thursday of each month throughout the year (except January), a featured winemaker showcases three of their newest released, top-selling or hardest to find wines, alongside a craft brew hand-picked by The Grapevine staff.

The complimentary tastings are held on the patio and garden of this popular tasting room. Each event features live music and three prize giveaways. This is a great opportunity to learn directly from the winery and The Grapevine staff, engage with other visitors interested in wine and beer and enjoy the natural surroundings and all the other offerings of Gruene Historic District. Old Gruene Market Days

Third Full Weekend: September 21st-22nd | October 19th-20th | November 16th-17th

33rd Annual Gruene Music & Wine Fest

October 10th-13th

This Americana event benefiting the United Way of Comal County features the best in live Texas music and the best in Texas food and wines at Gruene Hall and The Grapevine.

27th Annual Texas Clay Festival

October 26th-27th

10am - 6pm

Photos with Cowboy Kringle

Create a Christmas memory with photos with Cowboy Kringle, Gruene's own brand of Santa! Find him in the breezeway betweeen The Grapevine and Gruene General Store. 11th Annual Gruene Turkey Trot - 5K Run/Walk and 1/4 Mile Kids' Turkey Chase

Registration begins at 6:30am

Fun for the whole family! Start your Thanksgiving Day with an exhilarating 5K run/walk through Gruene Historic District. Kids under 12 years old will have a blast chasing a Turkey Mascot for a 1/4 mile through Gruene. Races begin and end in front of Gruene Hall. Benefiting local charities, including the Comal County Sheriff's Green Santa Program and the New Braunfels Police Department Blue Santa Program. Register online at or email for more information.
